YOU GUYSSSSSS did you know my best friend is a goddess?? Its true, she’s a boudoir queen and she invented the game. Stop the presses cause Liv Tyler and Elizabeth Taylor had a baby and her name is Bianca!!
The last time I saw Lindsay, we were doing her graduation photos to celebrate her finishing her degree at UW! Almost 5 years later, she’s on a whole new adventure, getting married! Its so fun for me to see all the fun milestones my clients go through, and I get to document! Lindsay and Cameron wanted something quintessentially Seattle, and Fishermans Terminal + a stop at Discovery Park was just the ticket. We had some awesome light and almost no rain, and the connection between these two was fire! Can’t wait to get them in front of my lens again next spring for their wedding!
Kevin and Rachel’s engagement session was going down, rain or shine. We were in the middle of a season where just about every session was getting rained out, and for theirs we decided to buckle down and power through. We headed up to the rooftops of Seattle between Pike Place and Pioneer Square, and were surrounded by stormy, moody clouds. After a few laughs and a bit of dancing, we traveled over to Pioneer Square for an outfit change and droplet dodging. Rachel had mentioned that she really wanted twinkly lights, and I was kind of like “…wellllllll maybe they’ll have them out”. We turned the corner onto the plaza and WOW! The lights lit up the puddles in the bricks and made for the most sparkly moment ever.
These two moved all the way from sunny Australia to do life in the gorgeous PNW! They’re also new puppy parents to the adorable Echo, a baby golden retriever! How cute is she?
Elise and I got together with her fiancé Nick and our awesome stylist friend Hunter for her engagement session last year, and I’m so excited she’s back for a boudoir session! We met at an amazing Airbnb in Capitol Hill, Seattle, that was filled with plants and the most dreamy light. I love finding new Airbnb spaces for boudoir and in-home sessions! Elise was such a gorgeous model and I’m sure she’ll be just as stunning on her wedding day!
Few things get me as hyped as an urban elopement in the city at golden hour. Seattle is the perfect place to say I do, especially when its just you two! (A RHYME!!) The Pioneer Square neighborhood is home to the best brick walls, vining ivy, and edgy textures. On our way to the courthouse, we had to hit up a little secret spot to get some pictures with the sun over the beautiful Puget Sound. One amazing thing about the courthouse in Seattle is its crazy view of the entire city. There’s even a terrace on the 14th floor that overlooks everything from the Port of Seattle to Smith Tower. I had such a fun afternoon bopping around with these two, I think we all fell even more in love with the city that day!
Mackenzie is not only a crossfit and yoga queen, she’s the sweetest thing and also a clean beauty advocate! Mackenzie’s husband Iver is an army medic, so we thought why not create something fun that can be special for them, but also celebrate Mackenzie’s awesomeness all by herself! We met at the boudoir studio in Capitol Hill, Seattle, for these high glamour shots that just scream old Hollywood to me.
Trying to schedule your engagement session in the winter can be rough if you want an outdoor session. In Seattle, it can be damn near impossible. But if you’re Samantha and Spencer, you dive into the session ready to get wet and wild! They got absolutely drenched in the Seattle rain, and rocked it anyway! Totally gave off an ultra-romance vibe. After almost getting blown off the side of a cliff while popping champagne, we headed back to the forest to grab some shots with their sweet black lab, Benson!
Caitlin and Ben couldn’t have picked a better day for their engagement session: the sun was out in Seattle, the tide was low (for once) and since it was pretty chilly, we had the whole place to ourselves! Of all the times I’ve shot on the beach in Seattle, I’ve never seen the tide out this far! Forget soft white sand though - this beach with the tide out will remind you more of the black sand beaches of Hawaii! Of course, this engagement session involved a little hiking (in heels no less!), and a whole lot of galavanting in the winter sunlight.
